Ages 18 mo - 2 yr
Parent Tot Class: Does your toddler love to dance? Join us for an exciting weekly half-hour introduction to both dance and tumbling! Using props, obstacles, and songs, your child will be encouraged to explore their creativity with you by their side. Caregivers will help their toddlers gain confidence, use their imagination, and improve balance and coordination. This class provides a wonderful opportunity to bond with your child and meet other families, allowing your child to adjust to our studio environment at their own pace in preparation for our independent intro classes that begin at the age of three!
Ages 3-4 yr
Intro To Dance: Every dancer’s dream of performing on stage and being in the spotlight starts with the basics, and we’re excited to help them begin this journey! Our 30-minute weekly class combines introducing young dancers to fundamental movements and terminology. We emphasize the importance of following instructions, taking turns, and contributing positively to a group setting. At this age, having fun is essential! Our goal is to help your young dancer develop a lasting passion for dance.
Intro To Tumbling: Introduce your child to the exciting world of tumbling in a fun and structured setting. Our Intro to Tumbling class, specifically designed for children aged 3-4 years, provides a foundational introduction to tumbling while focusing on enhancing balance, coordination, strength, and motor skills. We also emphasize the importance of safety practices to ensure your child develops an understanding of the safety measures crucial for more advanced classes.
Intro Ballet/Tap Combo: Introduce your little dancer to the elegant art of ballet along with an introductory of tap in this engaging class! Your child will develop coordination, balance, and flexibility through basic ballet positions, steps, and terminology, with instruction involving standing barre work and simple center floor exercises. The class also incorporates creative dance and music exploration, making it a fun and enriching experience. Additionally, our tap class is perfect for beginners eager to learn this dynamic dance form. It focuses on building musicality and rhythm through tap techniques and combinations. This lively and energetic class will get your feet moving, with no prior experience required.
Ages 5-18 yr
Jazz/Lyrical Combo: Jazz and lyrical are both popular forms of dance, and this class offers a wonderful opportunity to experience a well-rounded mix of both styles. Jazz is a dynamic, high-energy dance form that emphasizes technique, rhythm, and style. It focuses on clean lines, turns, jumps, and tricks, incorporating strength, flexibility, and conditioning techniques, as well as progressions such as turns, kicks, and leaps. Lyrical dance, on the other hand, is ideal for those who enjoy physical choreography and self-expression. In our lyrical classes, dancers will apply their technique to learn choreography, develop their personal style, and enhance their overall performance. Elements of improvisation are also introduced to further enrich their experience.
Tumbling / Acro Combo: Tumbling/Acro classes cater to the natural tumbler in every child, focusing on developing flexibility, control, strength, and motor skills. Skills taught in these classes include, but are not limited to, Forward Rolls, Backward Rolls, Bridges, Walkovers, Handstands, Elbow Stands, Chin Stands, Cartwheels, Round-Offs, Handsprings, Aerials, and more. Acro/Tumble classes are an excellent complement to our dance programs, helping dancers become more well-rounded and versatile.
Ballet/Tap Combo: Ballet training is essential to the fundamentals of all dance forms. This class will emphasize proper body placement, alignment, grace, posture, poise and fluidity of movement. This class includes Ballet Barre and Center work. Additionally, dancers will learn the terminology that forms the basic universal language of dance. Tap is an audible art form in which dancers create sounds with their feet. This class covers rhythm, coordination, timing and proper tap technique. Students will learn about musical timing and how to unite Their feet, arms, and body to the beat of the music.
Technique: This class breaks down and digs deeper into the fundamentals on refining core techniques.. Dancers will practice a range of leaps, turns, and other technique based skills. Emphasizing muscle building, technique enhancement, increased flexibility, and broadening dancers' capabilities, this class aims to deepen their technical skills and overall dance proficiency.
Hip-Hop: This is an energetic and enjoyable class that emphasizes coordination, strength, and progression from basic combinations to complex choreography. Our Hip Hop instructors regularly update the curriculum to stay current with the rapidly evolving Hip Hop dance scene, incorporating fresh and age-appropriate music and choreography.
